Running the Streets of Seattle

I recently joined a Shadowrun 4th edition gaming group.  We had our first meeting this last Saturday.  We had nine guys in attendance.  We met at Enchanted Grounds.  Jeff was really cool even though we didn't call ahead of time.  Character creation was a long process, but my previous experience was online where character creation happened over several days via email.  I choose to use a previously used character Wild Bill.

He is an Ork Gunslinger Adept.  I liked the idea of a dual welding gunslinger.  (Too bad that is not how it's working out.)  I originally was going to run him as a jock from Denver with an ex-wife.  But I got to thinking about his back story and didn't like it.  I really wanted to run with the back story of a different character named Shadow.  He was a Dwarf Street Samurai with a great spiritual back story.

When character creation was over we ran "Stuffer Shack."  I winged a bad guy but then got knocked on my butt.  It cool having a in person game.  So many things that I didn't know I missed with online gaming are present.  The joking the side conversations and all of it.  I hope to post a better wrap up later when I get it from the GM.  This Saturday I will be running a Star Wars Edge of the Empire beginners game.  I am a little nervous but I think it will be fine.
